Ho Chi Minh City - Buon Ma Thuot - Kon Tum - Hoi An - Da Nang


Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City on arrival

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat airport, meet your guide and transfer to hotel. Orientation tour of town will be done shortly after check into hotel. The highlights are Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post Office, Opera House, City Hall, Dong Khoi Street which is famous for souvenir shops, then heading to Chinatown area to visit Thien Hau temple and Binh Tay market. Back to hotel and free at leisure. O/N in Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi tunnels
Morning depart for Cu Chi tunnels which is well-known during the war in Vietnam as the headquarter of VC in 1960s-1970s. The tunnel is a very complicated underground network and over 250 km long consist of living bunker, fighting bunker, meeting room function and special kitchen room and has 3 levels in which the third level was used as the bomb shelter. Visit the tunnels within 1 hour then back to Ho Chi Minh city. Late afternoon take a look at the War Museum and then free at leisure. O/N in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
Take a day trip to Mekong region, for boat cruise on Mekong River (4,200km long) to the Thoi Son island to enjoy all kinds of tropical fruit in this area then walk through the handicraft village and also visit some of the local farm houses. Take the sampan boat (rowing boat) on small canal to the big one and ready for lunch at Trung Luong restaurant (local specialty - deep fried elephant-ear fish and sticky rice ball). Back to Ho Chi Minh city. O/N at hotel.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang - Hoi An
Early morning flight to Da Nang then proceed to Hoi An, the ancient city's recognized as the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Walking tour to the Cantonese Communal House, Tan Ky ancient House, and Japanese Bridgeand Ong pagoda. Late afternoon take boat trip on Thu Bon river for sightseeing. Rest of the day is free at leisure. O/N in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An - Hue

Depart for Hue, used to be the capital of Vietnam from 17th century to 20th century and it now is also the World cultural Heritage site, stop at Lang Co beach for a break then continue to our destination. Afternoon visit Hue Citadel, this is the Citadel under the Nguyen Dynasty and over 150 royal palaces. It consists of Imperial City and Forbidden City, which was used by the Emperors and Emperor's families only. Hue is also well-known during the war in Vietnam as the bloodiest battlefield in 1968 and almost royal palaces in the imperial City were totally destroyed. Back to hotel and free at leisure. O/N in Hue.

Day 6: Hue
Morning take boat trip to Linh Mu pagoda where you can see the old car that was used by Buddhist monk Thich Quang Duc who was immolated himself in 1963 in the central of Ho Chi Minh city then visit the Emperor's tomb of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Dinner and O/N in Hue.

Day 7: Hue - Hanoi - Halong
Morning fly to Hanoi then proceed to Halong Bay with over 3000 islands and islets scattering in the area of 1500 sq km and Halong Bay is also one of the world natural heritage sites, en route, stop at Dong Trieu pottery village. Continue to our destination then free at leisure. O/N in Halong.

Day 8: Halong - Hanoi
Morning boat cruise to explore the Bay with visiting some grottoes such as Dau Go, Thien Cung and Bo Nau. Have pleasure time on boat while the captain and his sailors are preparing our seafood lunch. After lunch disembark for returning Hanoi. Check into hotel and free at leisure. Dinner and O/N in Hanoi.

Day 9: Hanoi
Morning visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum (opened from December to September, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and at weekend) and his living complex, One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and Hoan Kiem Lake. Afternoon visit Art Museum and History Museum. Evening enjoy water puppet show. O/N in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi - Departure
You are free at leisure or shopping until the flight home. End of service.
